DANGER
Danger due to bursting of the coupling
If you do not observe the information stipulated here regarding replacement of wearing
parts, this can lead to bursting of the coupling during operation. There is a risk of fatal in-
jury from flying fragments. Bursting of the coupling can lead to an explosion in potentially
explosive atmospheres.
• Please observe all the stipulations concerning the replacement of wearing parts.
Replace the flexible elements (12) at both joint locations if the maximum permissible tor-
sional backlash has been reached at one of the two joint locations.
DK type
Replace the flexible elements (12) without moving the coupled machines.
1. Secure the coupling parts to prevent them from falling.
2. Release the bolt connection (46) of coupling parts 41 (411) and (412).
3. Axially shift coupling parts 41 (411) and (412).
4. Remove coupling part 60 (60).
5. Remove the flexible elements (12).
6. Install the new flexible elements (12). Please observe the information in section Use and
storage of flexible elements (12) (Page 64)
When reinstalling the coupling parts please observe the information in chapters Assembly
(Page 27) and Commissioning (Page 39).
DKS type
In order to exchange the flexible elements, move the coupled machines.
1. Remove the flexible elements (12).
2. Install the new flexible elements (12). Please observe the information in section Use and
storage of flexible elements (12) (Page 64)
When reinstalling the coupling parts please observe the information in chapters Assembly
(Page 27) and Commissioning (Page 39).

DK type
1. Secure the coupling parts to prevent them from falling.
2. Release the bolt connection (46) of coupling parts 41 (411) and (412).
3. Axially shift coupling parts 41 (411) and (412).
4. Remove coupling part 60 (60).
5. Remove coupling parts 41 (411) and (412) from the shaft.
