Turning the control knob to the
right means that the loco will always run
forwards and turning it to the left it will run
backwards. Turning the knob in the opposi-
te direction will bring it to a halt.
4.3 The "Thinking” Points
As delivered, all points are "through”
points, which means that all of the track
exits conduct power. By simply removing
the two tiny wire bridging clips between the
rails, your points will be made into electri-
cally "thinking” points. With the aid of
tweezers, remove the wire clips from each
of the curved points in the oval of track
(Fig. 13). The current will now only flow in
the same direction as which you have set
the points.
If you now set both sets of points simulta-
neously to "straight” for example,
(Fig. 14.1) a train can run through the lower
track, whilst a second train remains statio-
