Sampling oral gas
1.
Take a syringe from the sealed bag.
2.
Insert the syringe into the oral cavity until the flange reaches the lips. Softly bite on the
syringe to fix it and close the mouth tightly.
DANGER
Be careful not to stick the tip of the syringe into the throat or place the complete
syringe into the oral cavity.
Children and handicapped people must not collect oral gas by themselves
because of the possibility of swallowing the syringe. Doctors must hold the
syringe during collection so that the subjects do not swallow it.
Avoid collecting oral gas from the subjects while lying down because of the
possibility of swallowing the syringe.
Do not use the system with people who are incapable of closing their mouth
tightly because of the possibility of swallowing the syringe.
The subjects shall hold the syringe with their hand while it is in their oral cavity.
Do not look up; keep the syringe in a horizontal position to avoid the possibility
of swallowing the syringe.
