6.6.2 Turn Discovery on/off
This is added for higher security. Using this feature, the user can turn off Bluetooth
®
discovery on
the SecuRemote™ device so the phone cannot detect this Bluetooth
®
device during a Bluetooth
®
scan and hence cannot Plug n Pair™ to the SecuRemote™ device. Phones that are not paired will not
detect the First Watch
®
device. If the owner of the SecuRemote™ device would like to add a new
user, SecuRemote™ Bluetooth
®
discovery is required to be on so the newly added user can detect the
device, pair with it and connect to it to operate it. This feature turns the internal radio OFF making
it virtually impossible to hack the First Watch
®
devices. Once the new user is paired, the owner can
turn off Bluetooth
®
discovery. To use this feature, the user needs to be within Bluetooth
®
range of the
device.
