Pick up the HANDSET to exit the setup mode.
SETTING THE LOCAL AREA CODE
If you set up the area code, for example: 773-1234567, when you receive a call from the same
area, the caller ID will skip the area code and show the last telephone number (1234567) only.
1. Press and hold the SET BUTTON to enter the setup menu.
2. Press the SET BUTTON repeatedly until “SET LOCAL CODE” is shown and the first of
the five available digits is flashing.
3. Press  or  to select the desired number and confirm with the SET BUTTON.
4. Repeat step #3 to set up the other numbers of your area code.
5. Pick up the HANDSET to exit the setup mode.
SETTING THE DIALING PREFIX
The prefix code is used for adding a specific number in front of the dialing numbers of caller ID, phonebook
and pre-dial, especially when used behind an office PABX system, in order to get an outside line.
1. Press and hold SET BUTTON to enter the setup menu.
2. Press the SET BUTTON repeatedly until “PREFIX” is shown and the first of the three
available digits is flashing.
3. Press

to select the desired number and confirm with the SET BUTTON.
4. Repeat step #3 to set up the other numbers of your required prefix code.
5. Pick up the HANDSET to exit the setup mode.
SETTING THE RINGER MELODY
1. Press and hold the SET BUTTON to enter the setup menu.
2. Press the SET BUTTON repeatedly until “RINGER MELODY” is shown with the current
“Melody No.” flashing.
3. Select the desired melody from 01 to 16 using the

or

and confirm with the SET
BUTTON.
4. Pick up the HANDSET to exit the setup mode.
SETTING THE RINGER LEVEL
1. Press and hold the SET BUTTON to enter the setup menu.
2. Press the SET BUTTON repeatedly until “RINGER VOL.” is shown with the current
“Ringer Vol Level” flashing.
3. Select the desired ringer volume level from 1 (Lo) to 7 (Hi) or OFF using the  or  and
confirm with the SET BUTTON.
4. Pick up the HANDSET to exit the setup mode.
SETTING THE FLASH TIME
1. Press and hold the SET BUTTON to enter the setup menu.
2. Press the SET BUTTON repeatedly until “FLASH TIME” is shown with the current “Flash
Time” setting flashing.
3. Select the required flash time from 100, 200, 300, 400, 600 and 900 ms using the

and confirm with the SET BUTTON.
4. Pick up the HANDSET to exit the setup mode.
SETTING THE PAUSE TIME
1. Press and hold the SET BUTTON to enter the setup menu.
2. Press the SET BUTTON repeatedly until “PAUSE TIME” is shown with the current “Pause
Time” setting flashing.
3. Select the required pause time from 1.2, 2.4 and 3.6 seconds using the  or  and
confirm with the SET BUTTON.
4. Pick up the HANDSET to exit the setup mode.
SETTING THE TONE/PULSE DIALING MODE
1. Press and hold the SET BUTTON to enter the setup menu.
2. Press the SET BUTTON repeatedly until “DIAL IN DTMF” is shown flashing.
3. Select the required dialing mode between “DTMF” (tone) and “PULSE” using the  or 
and confirm with the SET BUTTON.
4. Pick up the HANDSET to exit the setup mode.
