ACID WASH WARNING:
Before installing
the faceplate, make sure any masonry that has
been treated with acid wash has been properly
neutralized (this is used primarily with brick
faces). Acid wash (muriatic acid) is used to
remove excess mortar. If not properly
neutralized with an ammonia solution, the gold
face may develop a permanent tarnish when the
acid evaporates over time. Contact your dealer
if uncertain your facing has been properly
neutralized.

Remove the arch covers (see the directions to
the right) and glass (see the instructions below).
NOTE:
If using an arch face, replace the arch
covers after re-installing the glass. If
using a rectangular face, replace only
the screws.

Arch Faces:
Replace the arch cover
after replacing the glass.
Rectangular Faces:
Do not replace the arch cover -
simply tighten the screws.
Unscrew these screws a couple
turns. Then pull the cover off.
To remove the glass:
Remove the arch covers
Unscrew the glass clip screws several turns to loosen
them from the clips.
Slide off the glass clips on the top and sides of the glass,
holding the glass to insure it does not fall forward
Loosen the glass clip on the bottom
Slide the glass up and away from the bottom glass clip

To install the glass:
Place the bottom glass clip in place and screw the 5 screws that
hold it in place a couple of turns (use a phillips screwdriver)
With the glass gasket in place, position the glass on the bottom
glass clip (if the glass is cracked or broken, replace)
Install the side and top glass clips, tightening the screws only a
couple of turns
Adjust the glass so it is centered
TIghten the screws on the glass
clips all the way (screws must bottom out)
