4.7.8 REPLACING THE BRUSHES
The following steps should be performed to replace the brushes:
remove the key from the dashboard to prevent accidental starting.
unscrew the knobs (detail 1 fig 4.13) then remove the protective casing covering the brushes (detail 2
fig. 4.13);
then rotate each brush (detail 3 figure 4.13) until the knob on the brush is accessible (detail 4 figure
4.13) and press the knob to allow the brush to drop to the ground;
replace the brush by positioning the hexagon of the female joint on the male joint (detail 5 figure 4.13)
on the brush motor;
raise the brush vertically and rotate it until it automatically engages;
replace the casing and tighten the knobs.
Before restarting the machine, ensure that all the details indicated above are properly
installed (including the guards).
