The VZWM diaphragm valve is operated via the integrated 2/2−way pilot
control.

Use a suitable coil foractuating the solenoid armature
(
è
chapter 10 Accessories).

Take into account the fact that when the pressure is switched on suddenly, the
valve will open briefly. The output side must therefore be connected.
Function test using incompressible media
S
Fill the tubing system with the medium used.
Function test using all media
S
Apply the desired input pressure to the diaphragm valve (e. g.6bar).
The valve will then be closed.
Note the maximum permitted rated pressure (

specifications).

Make sure that the minimum difference in pressure for switching between the
input and output of the diaphragm valve is available (
è
chapter 12 Technical
specifications).
Using compressed air with a medium temperature < 1 °C:
S
Avoid the dew point being reached.
If the dew point is reached, the diaphragm will ice up and become stiff. The set
switching values of the valve will then be modified.
S
If necessary, use dried compressed air.
