Formation of voltage zones
The CPX terminal and the pneumatic interfaces enable the formation of voltage zones in the pneumatic
section of the valve terminal.
The 24 V power supply to the valves is provided via the load voltage supply valves of the CPX terminal
(U

).
The power for the pressure switches and the vacuum generators is supplied by the electronics power
supply (U
EL/SEN
). After switching off the load voltage supply, the pressure switches continue to be
supplied with voltage for the valves of the CPX terminal (U
val
).

Description of the CPX system
(CPX-SYS-...).
Depending on the pneumatic interface variant, up to 3 safe voltage zones can be formed in the
pneumatic section of the valve terminal. The voltage zones can be switched off in electrical safety
independently of one other. A total of up to 24 addresses can be controlled via the pneumatic
interface. Address extension modules make it possible to generate 24 additional valve addresses in
every case. A total of 96 addresses is permitted.
