B.1 DeviceNet compatibility configuration of SW−Version V1.3/1.4
Fieldbus nodes IFB11−03, from Version V2.0 (26.02.99), can
be switched using the DIL switch to older software versions
(software status V1.3/1.4 from 22.07.96 or earlier) to permit
compatibility with existing, previously configured DeviceNet
networks.
Please note
With fieldbus nodes of software status V1.3/1.4
(22.07.96) or earlier, some steps must be carried out dif
ferently for configuration in RSNetWorx than with the
newer version V2.0:
1. Set the compatibility in the node with the
SW−VersionV2.0 (26.02.99) for earlier versions as per
Chapter 3.2, "Setting the compatibility".
2. Enter the valve terminal manually in the software
RSNetWorx according to the following section.
EDS library: Enter slave manually
If you need to operate a valve terminal with RSNetWorx for
the first time, the EDS library (electronic data sheets) must be
expanded with the EDS Wizard". Information is entered in
the EDS library about the valve terminal, such as manufac
turer name, product name, product code, etc.

The required information can now be entered in offline
operation.
Note that the product code of the modular valve terminal is
dependent on the structure of the valve terminal up to soft
ware version V1.3/1.4 (22.07.96)
. Differently constructed
valve terminals have different product codes and must there
fore have individual EDS files.
