Replacing the retainer or retainer module
Depending on the size, the spindle assembly for spindle axes ELGA-BS-KF-70 /80 / 120 / 150 is mounted in the retainer
or retainer module with a different number of socket head screws:
– ELGA-BS-KF-70 / 80: one socket head screw,
– ELGA-BS-KF-120: two socket head screws,
– ELGA-BS-KF-150: four socket head screws.
1. Unscrew the socket head screw from the retainer or retainer module.
2. Pull the retainer or retainer module off the spindle assembly.
3. Remove the O-ring from the retainer or retainer module.
4. Check the O-ring for wear and replace if necessary.
5. Lightly grease the O-ring.
6. Re-insert the O-ring.
7. Push the new retainer or new retainer module onto the spindle assembly.
8. Clean the socket head screw to remove the locking agent.
9. Wet the threaded hole with screw locking agent.
10. Screw in the socket head screw and tighten with the appropriate tightening
torque.
