Burner ignition

•  Supply with electricity by turning on the main switch upstream from the burner.
•  Open the manual gas valves and supply an adequate pressure to ensure the gas pressure switch 

closes.

•  Release the unit (by pressing the red button).
•  Operation starts according to the diagram of Fig. 13.

Single-stage operating sequence

1

. The motor starts turning, causing the fan to turn, which produces ventilation in the combustion cham-

ber that is called "washing."

2

. The air pressure switch closes.

3

. The ignition transformer starts its electric discharge, the gas valve opens and a flame is produced.

4

. The ionization electrode detects the flame within the safety time and checks its stability. Combustion 

continues through to completion regulated by the gas valve outlet pressure on the required value.

3.2 System start-up

Checks to be made at first ignition, and after all maintenance operations that involved disconnecting 
from the systems or work on safety devices or parts of the burner:

Before igniting the burner 

•  Check that the burner is secured correctly in the boiler unit with the preliminary settings indicated 

above.

•  Check that the boiler unit and system are filled with water or diathermic oil, the valves in the plumbing 

circuit are open and the fume extraction pipe is clear and correctly sized.

•  Check the boiler unit doors are shut so that the flame is only generated inside the combustion cham-

ber.

•  Open the gate valves along the gas pipe.

Air pressure switch setting

The task of the air pressure switch is to make the burner safe or shut it 
down if there is a lack of combustion air pressure. It will be set approxi-
mately 15% lower than the pressure of the air at the burner when this is 
at the nominal flow rate, checking that the CO value stays under 1%.
