INSTALLATION
Installation
Use a fork lift truck to lift the appliance during the installation phase (Fig.1).
Keep the appliance in a horizontal position without tilting it. Once it has
been positioned, remove the packing materials (Fig.2). Good protection
against the transmission of vibrations is obtained by placing blocks of resi-
lient material (neoprene, etc.) between the bearing feet of the machine and
the floor.
How to drain off the condensation
Condensation is produced when heat pump units operate in the heating
mode. In this case, it may be necessary to convey the condensation
towards a drain outlet.
Proceed in the following way:
1. Fit the supplied union (1-Fig.3) into the relative hole (2-Fig.3) on the
base of the exterior unit. Fix by inserting the shaped part of the union
into the hole and turning through 90° towards the right or left as requi-
red.
2. Connect a sufficiently strong rubber tube (2-Fig.4) (it must not be able
to deform and create throttles) to the union (1-Fig.4).
3. Fix it in place with a pipe clamp (3-Fig.4) and route it into a drain outlet.
4. Make sure that the tube slopes sufficiently to allow the condensation to
flow out naturally.
5. Make sure that the draining action functions correctly by pouring water
into the tray of the exterior unit (only a small amount).
