Media mode
MP3-CD mode
The following items described under
“CD mode” on page 79 apply to the
MP3 CD operation:
• “Notes on compact discs (CD)” on
page 79.
• “Insert/eject CDs” on page 79.
• “Notes for CD-R and CD-RW” on
page 80.
• “Temperature Protection Circuit” on
page 80.
MP3 memory card/microdrive
mode
Insert microdrive/memory card
The slot for insertion of the microdrive/
memory card is located unter the
detachable control panel of the
Infotainment or under the inserted
blanking cover.

Remove the control panel as described
under “Removing/inserting the control
panel” on page 14.

Remove the blanking cover as
described under “Inserting/detaching
blanking cover” on page 15.
X
Insert the microdrive/memory card
into the slot visible on the right.
X
Carefully slide the microdrive/
memory card forward.
The eject button placed in the upper left
is pushed outwards.
Note:
• Microdrive discs with a capacity of
4 gigabyte may be used
• CF cards type 1 and type 2 can be
used as memory card. Memory cards
up to a capacity of 4 gigabyte may be
used.
• Please make sure that the memory
media was formatted using the
FAT 32 data system.
Note:
The memory card/microdrive may only
be inserted in one direction. The
memory card/microdrive reverse side
points to the left in that orientation.
