Media mode

Media mode

Media mode is a collective designation
of all sources in the Infotainment able to
play back audio or MP3 tracks.

Activating media mode

X

Press the 

 button.

The last active source in the media area
will be activated if possible.

or

X

Insert an audio CD or an MP3-CD.

The Infotainment starts playback of the
inserted CD.

or

X

Insert a microdrive/memory card with
audio or MP3 titles into the slot
provided for this.

The Infotainment starts playing the
tracks on the inserted microdrive/
memory card.

In all three cases the media quick access
will be displayed only for a short time.
The display then changes to the status
display.

Media quick access

The available CDs and directories are
displayed in the media quick access and
can be selected.
In the following description it is
assumed that you are in the status
display.

source by turning the turn/push

• The individual available CDs,

memory cards, sources and
directories are identified by symbols
in the quick access:

 identifies a CD in the internal

drive. SCD identifies a single CD.

 identifies memory cards.

 identifies a CD of the CD changer.

 identifies an AUX source.

 identifies play lists.

 identifies directories.

• Should e.g. only an audio CD be

available in the internal drive then the
tracks on the CD are immediately
identified in the quick access.

• By extended pressing of the 

button you can have the entire name
displayed for the individual entries in
the quick access (if available).
In case of a directory the number of
tracks and the total playback time will
also be displayed.
