Switch S3-6 (CLASS B_AL)
Similar to switches S1-1 and S1-2, the position of switch S3-6 is depended on the wiring
class used on DET1 and DET2. For Class B wiring, the switch should be in the left
position. For Class A wiring, the switch should be in the right position.
Switch S3-7 (ANDD1_2DETL)
Switch 3-7 programs the linking of DET1 and DET2. With S3-7 in the left position, an
alarm condition on DET1
or
DET2 will actuate the system. With the switch in the right
position, DET1
and
DET2 must both detect an event for the system to actuate. An
and
configured control panel will automatically be changed to an
or
configuration in the event
that an open circuit condition is detected in either the DET1 or the DET2 circuit.

WARNING
IF ONLY ONE DETECTOR INPUT IS WIRED AND S3-7 IS SET
TO THE RIGHT POSITION, THE CONTROL PANEL WILL
NEVER DETECT AN INCIPIENT EXPLOSION BECAUSE
THE
AND
CONDITION WILL NEVER BE SATISFIED.
Switch S3-8 (BATDIS DL)
Switch S3-8 serves two functions. First, it determines if battery back-up power is
available when the panel is disarmed. Second, it determines if the audible horn sounds
when the panel is disarmed. Battery back-up is automatically provided upon the loss of
AC power when the panel is armed if the battery voltage is greater than 10.4 Vdc
regardless of the position of the switch.
With the switch in the left position, disarming the panel will cause the sounding of the
audible horn and the illumination of the FAULT indicator. If AC power is subsequently
removed, back-up power will be automatically provided as long as the battery voltage is
greater than 10.4 Vdc.
With the switch in the right position, disarming the panel will only illuminate the FAULT
indicator; the horn will not sound. If AC power is subsequently removed, back-up power
will not be provided and the panel will lose all power.
It is important to note that the panel cannot be armed if AC power is not present
regardless of the position of Switch S3-8.
