Routing Settings

There are two submenus under the Routing Setting menu. Click any of them, and you will be
able to configure the corresponding function.

• Static Routing Table

The main duty for router is to look for a best path for every data frame, and transfer this
data frame to destination. So, it is essential for the router to choose the best path, i.e.
routing arithmetic. In order to finish this function, many transferring paths, i.e. routing
table, are saved in the router, for choosing when needed.

• Dynamic Routing Settings

RIP:

The Routing Information Protocol (RIP) is a dynamic routing protocol used in local

and wide area networks. Choose

Enable

dynamic routing need to be activated.

Rip Version:

Choose the version of RIP.

Authentication Code:

Choose the encrypt method used between routers.

Save:

Click the

Save

button to save your setting.
