Carry out a test run of 30 seconds with
the new grinding tool. Only use true-
running grinding tools.
Never exert any lateral pressure on the
cut-off grinding discs or use them for
rough grinding.
The rough grinding and cut-off grinding
discs become very hot during use.
Always work using the additional handle
and protective guard.
Always wear a dust mask for fine dust
when working with stone and use a dust
extractor for vacuuming stone dust.
Beware of any concealed electric cables,
gas or water conduits; check the working
area with a metal detector, for example.
Slits in load-bearing walls are subject to
the standard DIN 1053 Part 1 or country-
specific regulations. Be absolutely sure to
consult the structural engineer, architect
or site supervisor responsible before
commencing work.
Provide for a secure stance; clamp the
material to be worked firmly.
Protect persons or inflammable items
against flying sparks. Additionally adjust
the protective guard accordingly.
Do not treat any materials that produce
any particles that are detrimental to health
(e. g. asbestos).
In the case of a power-cut or if the mains
plug has been pulled out, the mains switch
must be turned to the OFF position
immediately in order to avoid uncon-
trolled reactivation.
Do not rivet or screw any name-plates or
signs onto the power tool. The protective
insulation can thereby be rendered inef-
fective. Adhesive labels are recom-
mended.
Only use an undamaged plug and cable.
Damage to property/material
Mains voltage must correspond with the
voltage specifications on the power tool.
Personal protective equipment.
When using this power tool wear the
following protective items:
Protective gloves, protective glasses,
sturdy shoes, ear protection, apron,
dust-mask (if required).
Operating the power tool.
Risk of injury
due to switching ON unintentionally.
Only plug in the power tool when the motor
is turned OFF.
Switch on the power tool before contact-
ing the work piece; conduct the cable
away to the rear.
Rough grinding: By holding the power
tool at an angle of 20 – 40°, good removal
can be obtained. Press the power tool
evenly onto the surface and move back
and forth to prevent the surface of the
work piece from becoming too hot.
Cutting: Always work in counterrotation
to avoid the power tool jumping out of
the cut.
Use a high speed for surface grinding and
cut-off grinding. Do not overload the
power tool.
