Working instructions.
Before mounting or replacing application tools or accessories, pull the power
plug.
This preventive safety measure rules out the danger of injuries through
accidental starting of the power tool.
For each job, use only the FEIN application tool released and intended for the respective
application.
First check that the mains sup-
ply lead and mains plug are
not damaged.
Always hold the power tool
firmly.
Otherwise, you could
lose control over the power tool.
Starting (Figure 9).
After the mains plug is inserted, the belt san-
der can be started in any working position by
actuating any two switchpads twice:

Grasp the belt sander in the desired
working position either at the rear
(START A) or front (START B); lightly press
and hold at least one of the 4 switchpads.
For the working position holding the power
tool at the back (START A):
Note:
The sanding belt begins to move with
short, low-power impulses. With this, the
belt sander indicates the actuation of the first
switchpad.
Briefly
press one of the front switchpads
(close to the auxiliary handle) with your
thumb.
For the working position holding the power
tool at the front (START B):

Briefly
press one of the rear switch-
pads.
The belt sander starts softly and reaches
the working belt-speed shortly.
Notes:
The belt sander does not start:
– when the switchpads at the front
and
rear
are pressed at the same time
– if one or more of the pressing surfaces is/
are pressed while the mains plug is inserted
