4.4  How to use dead time wafer 

4.4.1  Series connection of dead time wafers 

There are three dead time wafers.    Two dead time wafers (dead time wafers 1 and 2) of up to 120 
seconds (2 minutes) in one-second interval and one dead time wafer (dead time wafer 3) of up to 60 
minutes in 30-second interval.    In case it is necessary to create dead time of up to 3 minutes by 
series connection of two dead time wafers, it is done as shown below.

Note:  With a dead time wafer, even if setting of dead time L exceeds the setting range, i.e., 2 

minutes, it is limited to 2 minutes internally.    Furthermore, even if the dead time is set a 
minus value, it is limited to 0 minute. 

 
The above example shows a case to produce a dead time of 3 minutes using dead time wafers (1) and 
(2).    When dead time L of dead time wafer (1) is set at 180 seconds, it is limited to 120 seconds, 
and when dead time L of dead time wafer (2) is set at 120 seconds, it is limited to 60 seconds by 
wafer 63, and dead time of 3 minutes is produced as a result.
