3.2.6.1 Color code designations of CompactPCI connectors
The CompactPCI connectors use guiding ears to ensure proper connection. To avoid wiring errors,
color coding is also used for the various standard operating voltages. The color coding prevents 5V
peripheral boards from mounting them into a socket operating at 3.3V and vice versa. Backplane
connectors are always marked according to the signal voltage level (VIO).
The CPC505 is a 3.3V/5V signal level board.
