BOOM
STRAIGHTNESS
The boom on each machine are de-
signed with set screw adjustments
that provide a method to adjust for
straightness. By keeping the booms
straight, the sprayer produces a
consistent clearance to the crop.
When adjusting boom straightness,
follow this procedure:
1.
Clear the area of bystanders,
especially small children, before
starting.
2.
Place machine in fi eld confi gu-
ration with the boom about
waist high.
3.
Place all controls in neutral,
stop engine, set park brake, re-
move ignition key and wait for
all moving parts to stop before
dismounting.
4.
Sight along the boom to be
sure it is straight at each hinge.
5.
Loosen the position bolt jam
nut at a hinge.
6.
Turn position bolt to the re-
quired position and tighten jam
nut to its specifi ed torque.
7.
Repeat with other hinges as
required.
