HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
CONNECTION
1. Check the oil compatibility before connecting the
crane to the tractor hydraulic system. The crane has
been test run with Teboil 46S hydraulic oil.
2. If the crane and tractor hydraulic systems are sepa-
rate, you may use oils according to the recommenda-
tions given in the maintenance instructions.
3.
The pump must not be allowed to run before the
control valve has been connected to the tractor and
crane hydraulic systems.
4. We recommend connecting the pressure hose to
the single-acting hydraulic outlet and the return hose
to the tank via the return filter. The filter’s intended
minimum flow rate is 80 l/min and the filtering den
-
sity is 25 μm abs. Ensure that the tank breathing is
not disturbed. Insert the return hose below the oil fill
level. CAUTION! If you accidentally install the hoses
the wrong way around, release the pressure using the
quick coupling. Use eye protection and other perso-
nal safety gear.
5. You can also connect the crane to the double-
acting hydraulics outlet, where the pressure and re
-
turn hoses are connected to their own couplings. If
this option is used, ensure that the lever of the doub-
le-acting valve is in the right position, with the pres
-
sure being directed to the pressure connection of the
crane’s control valve. Check the tractor instructions
for use of the double-acting hydraulics outlet.
6. Ensure that the pressure and return hose quick
couplings are locked during installation.
7. The hydraulic pressure-controlled valve also has
another return hose, which should be connected to
the free return line. Filtering/counterpressure is pro-
hibited.
8.
CAUTION! If the return line quick couplings are
not connected or locked properly, the pressure in the
tank line may rise and cause damage to the control
valve.
9.
CAUTION! Never connect pressure to the return
line of the control valve. This can damage the control
valve.
10.
A breather filter must also be installed in the system.
This prevents large dirt particles from entering the
hydraulic oil. Despite the use of a breather filter, dirt
particles can still enter the oil tank with the intake
air. Foreign particles are hazardous, as the pump and
valves function at extremely high tolerances.
11.
CAUTION! Remember to maintain cleanliness when-
ever working on hydraulics! The hydraulic system
to which the crane is connected must be absolutely
clean.
12. The hoses must be placed and protected to prevent
them from rubbing, twisting and getting trapped
between moving parts.
13. If the pressure hoses are routed to the tractor cab,
they must be covered, so that, in the event of any
breakage, the resulting oil spray will not hit the ope
-
rator.
