Appendix: Concept feeding systems
45
It is possible to run the feeding system for feeding 2 houses with a different ingredient or mix. At the start and at
the end of each feeding time the weigher hopper demand sensor is
FULL
. The example below explains the
feeding process.
1. The feeding clock will activate the feeding system (feeding lines).
2. The weigher hopper starts dosing out so the feed level in the weigher hopper will decrease. Now the demand
sensor in the weigher hopper will ask for feed.
3. The new feed will be dosed in into the weigher.
4. When dosing in is finished the weigher will drop the feed directly into the weigher hopper.
Hardware wise the
Min.Sensor
in the weigher hopper has to block the feeding system and the transport
auger(system depending) from running when there’s no feed in the weigher hopper.
When the demand sensor in the weigher hopper is still asking for feed the dosing will repeat.
When the computer has started dosing, it will always finish the started portion. After dropping the feed
the dosing will stop. This means that there should be enough space above the weigher hopper demand
sensor to put one portions of feed on top of it.
