Reaching, leaning backwards -
WARNING! DO NOT lean over the top of the back upholstery
to reach objects behind you, as this may cause the wheelchair to tip over.
Position wheelchair as close as possible to the desired object. Reach back only as far as your arm
will extend without changing your sitting position.

Reaching, leaning to the side -
WARNING! DO NOT lean over the side of the armrests to
reach objects next to you, as this may cause the wheelchair to tip over.
Position wheelchair as close as possible to the desired object. Reach to the side only as far as
your arm will extend without changing your sitting position.

Note to wheelchair assistants

WARNING! Do not tip, use on stairways or escalators position!
•
If transferring while in lift position to something at the same level, make sure the chair
remains stable during the transfer.
