Tilt switch operation
Your KateZ Lift is equipped with an internal tilt switch located inside the housing that prevents the chair
from tilting more than 5
°
. If you are lifting the wheelchair when the tilt switch engages, you will hear a
beep and the wheelchair will stop rising. If this happens,
•
Push the blue button down until the KateZ Lift retracts under the wheelchair. Then move to
stable ground and raise the wheelchair again.
Quick release operation
Note
: Have an assistant help with releasing and re-engaging the KateZ Lift to your wheelchair.
To release your KateZ Lift:
1.
Remove the wheelchair user.
2.
Detach the hand control from the arm rest before releasing KateZ Lift.
3.
Engage breaks.
4.
Rotate the handle next the control box counter clockwise.
5.
Roll the wheelchair forward and out of the way of the KateZ Lift.
To re-engage your KateZ Lift:
1.
Remove the wheelchair user.
2.
Roll wheelchair back over the KateZ Lift until it stops over the column lift.
3.
Rotate the handle next the control box clockwise.
4.
Reattach the hand control to the arm rest before releasing KateZ Lift.
5.
Disengage breaks.
6.
Raise the wheelchair to engage KateZ Lift.
