7) Stop of operation
Keep pressing the “Run/Stop” key for three seconds
or more.
The “Vacuum pump” lamp goes OFF and the
vacuum pump stops operation. At the same time,
the safety valve (leak valve) is activated to return
the trap bath to the normal pressure.

Before stop of the vacuum pump, be sure to remove
all of sample containers.
※
If the trap bath does not return to the normal
pressure or is extremely slow to return, it is likely
that the leak filter is clogged.
Since this may cause backflow of oil or failure of
the vacuum pump, replace the filter while referring
to 7-1.2, Replacing the leak filter.

Defrosting can be made directly without
stopping the operation. Proceed to the next
section.

5) Freeze drying
After installation of the sample container, the
degree of vacuum rises gradually, with frosting
occurs on the inner wall (cooling section) in the trap.
White frosting on the surface of sample container
indicates the satisfactory drying process

If frost that looks like granulated sugar adheres in
the trap bath in the course of freeze drying, vacuum
is likely. Check the connection between the sample
container and adapter
6) End of drying
As drying proceeds, frost on the sample container
surface is thawed.
After thorough drying, turn the vacuum cock in
such a manner that

faces down to return
the pressure within the container to the normal level.
Then, remove the container.
After removal of vacuum, remove the
sample container while holding it
with hand to prevent falling.

Automatic operation
】
After installation of the sample container,
the degree of vacuum rises gradually, with
frosting occurs on the cooling section in the trap.
White frosting on the surface of sample container
indicates the satisfactory drying process.
