Automatic operation or manual operation can be
selected by pressing the AUTO/MANUAL selector
key. Each time the key is pressed, automatic
operation (AUTO lamp ON) and manual operation
(AUTO lamp OFF) are selected alternately.
1) Press the refrigerator key. The “Refrigerator” lamp
goes ON and the refrigerator is activated.
2) Confirm that all vacuum cocks are closed
completely.

3) When the trap temperature reaches -30
℃
or less,
press the “Vacuum pump” key.
The “Vacuum pump” lamp goes ON and the vacuum
pump is activated.
4) When the vacuum reaches 15Pa or less, the sample
container can be installed to the adaptor. Install the
preliminarily-frozen sample container to the adaptor,
and turn the vacuum cock from

Do not install all of vacuum containers at a time.
Instead, install one container at a time and, each
time, confirm that the vacuum is 20 Pa or less.

When the sample is molten, carry out preliminary
freezing again before installation.

As drying proceeds, frost adhering to the sample
container surface is thawed. Dewing occurs also on
the cover of trap. Wipe off such dew with wastes,
etc.
※
If frost that looks like granulated sugar adheres in
the trap bath in the course of freeze drying, vacuum
is likely. Check the connection between the sample
container and adapter.
Caution
Before operation of the vacuum pump,
be sure to allow the trap bath inner
wall to cool.
If the vacuum pump is started while the inner
wall is not sufficiently cooled, water left
in the trap bath may enter the vacuum pump,
resulting in failure.

Caution
The dehumidification capacity of the product
is 150 mL. Dehumidification of the sample amount
exceeding the capacity may cause failure of the
vacuum pump or system.

5.Manual Operation
The refrigerator and vacuum pump can be operated
independently (with the control panel “Auto” lamp
OFF).
In the manual operation, the freeze-drying ready lamp
“Freeze Drying” does not go ON and the buzzer does
not sound.
