Always use a power supply supplied or specified by Extron. Use of an unauthorized
power supply voids all regulatory compliance certification and may cause damage to
the supply and the unit.

NOTE:
— The IPL Pro Series control processors accept power over Ethernet (PoE)
through the LAN/PoE port (
C
) in addition to network communication (see
page 14 for
cabling and details
). Both an external power supply and PoE can
be connected to the control processor simultaneously. The IPL uses PoE when it
is available but can switch seamlessly to the external 12 VDC power supply if the
PoE connection is dropped.
