Release the hot-swap prevention latch and verify that the option card has engaged the alignment
pins and connector at the back of the card.

At the back of the option card, align and finger-tighten the captive retaining screws to secure the
card in place (

Leave the ESD-preventive wrist strap permanently connected to the switch so that it is always available
when you need to touch ESD-sensitive components.
