EXCHANGE OF THE CERAMIC
CARTRIDGE/MICRO-SWITCH
KAMA
Single lever mixer tap
1. Detach cover (1) carefully. If the cover is
damaged, use spare part.
2. Loosen screw inside the handle (2)
3. Detach the handle (3)
4. Turn out the rosette (3)
5. Turn out the brass nut with spanner (4)
6. Pull out the ceramic cartridge (5)
7. If the cartridge is defective:– Remove the
brass ring (6) from the top of the cartridge.
Install a new ceramic cartridge. Make sure
that the cartridge is in the right position.
8. If the micro-switch is defective:–Pull the wire
out of the mixer. Detach the micro-switch.
Install a new micro-switch.
9. Install ceramic cartridge, brass ring, brass
nut, rosette and handle in the opposite way.
AVANTÉ AND CORONA
The Avanté and Corona caravan will be fitted
with either the Whale Elegance tap and shower
combination tap or (those models with tip-up sink
basins) a separate Whale Elegance tap and
Whale Elegance shower unit.
OPERATION
These taps are operated by turning the separate
hot and cold taps. To get the desired water
temperature turn on both hot and cold taps.
PLEASE NOTE
A. When only the hot water tap is turned on the
temperature of the water can be very high.
B. For winter storage the taps must be left in the
fully open position.
MICRO-SWITCH REPLACEMENT
The micro-switch on the Whale taps can be
located by removing the base plate by undoing
the 4 fixing screws. The micro-switch can then be
replaced by following the Whale instructions
contained in your Owner’s Information Pack.
CLEANING OF ALL TAPS
It is recommended that a non-abrasive damp
cloth be used for cleaning the Elegance taps and
showers.
