the hydraulic filter and

Tran

Fluid.
1.
Stop engine, wait for all moving parts to stop, and
remove key. Engage parking brake.
2.
Raise seat.
3.
There are four drain plugs that need to be
removed to do a complete fluid change. Place
a pan under each drain plug from the following
components: hydraulic reservoir, transmission
case, and the left and right wheel motors (see
Figure 38).

Filter

Unscrew the filter to remove and allow fluid to
drain from reservoir.
Important:
Before reinstalling new
filter, apply a thin coat of Exmark Ruby
Transmission Fluid on the surface of the
rubber seal.
Install a new filter and turn the filter clockwise
until the rubber seal contacts the filter adapter,
then tighten the filter an additional 2/3 to 3/4
turn.
5.
Reinstall all four plugs. The wheel motor drain
plugs are magnetic; wipe clean before reinstalling.
6.
Remove the fill port plug on the top of each
wheel motor.

A.
Fill each motor with approximately 1.5 qt (1.4
L) Exmark Ruby Transmission Fluid.
Exmark Ruby Transmission Fluid is
recommended. Refer to the chart for an
acceptable alternative:
