: AirPlay devices can control the PlayPoint Mark II volume, however there is no volume
synchronization when volume is changed from the PlayPoint Mark II or the DAC. AirPlay volume control
steps are less precise compared to other audio streaming technologies.
Volume Bypass
When the volume is set to 0dB, the hardware volume control is turned off and the PlayPoint Mark II sets
the DAC in Volume Bypass Mode.
To activate Volume Bypass:
•
Set the master volume to 0dB.
•
On the touch screen set the left and right volume sliders to 0dB.
•
If you are using a multichannel DAC, set all channel sliders to 0dB.
Maximum Volume Limit
Use the
Maximum Volume Limit
setting to prevent accidental playback at volume levels that are too
loud.
