TROUBLESHOOTING
The camera trap did not capture the object of interest.
• Check the PIR sensitivity. In warm environments, set the sensor
level to “Low”; in cold environments, set the sensor level to “High”.
• Try to position the camera trap so that there is no heat source in its
field of view.
• If you place the camera trap near water, sometimes the camera trap
may take photos when there is no subject appearing in the photos.
• Try to point the camera above the ground.
• Try to place the camera trap on solid and immovable objects, such
as wide trees.
• If the motion sensor detects above the IR backlight at night, reduce
the distance setting by adjusting the sensitivity of the sensor.
• Sunrise or sunset may trigger the sensor.
• Point the camera trap elsewhere.
• If the person/animal is moving too fast, he/she/it may disappear from
the field of view of the camera trap before the photo is taken. Move
the camera trap further back or point it in another direction.
The camera stopped taking photos.
• Make sure that there is space on the memory card. If the card is
full, the camera trap stops taking photos.
• Check the batteries to make sure that the alkaline, NIMH or
lithium batteries have enough energy to power the camera.
• Make sure that the switch is in the “On” position and not in the
“Off” or “Test” position.
