REMOTE EMERGENCY POWER OFF (EPO) / REMOTE ON/OFF (ROO)

The  triple  output  for  connecting  EPO/ROO  circuits  is  located  in  the  UPS  unit's  rear

panel - see Fig. 14.

ROO

EPO

Fig. 14: Remote power on/off circuits

In default configuration the UPS has a jumper connecting the outputs 1 and 2. These

outputs must be connected to ensure correct operation of the unit.

To use the emergency power off function remove the jumper and connect outputs 1

and  2  with  a  standard,  zero  voltage  closed  connector.  If  the  connector  is  open  the

UPS will switch off. To revert to normal operation close the connector and restart the

UPS, following the previously described procedure.

To use the remote power on/off function (ROO) connect the jumper in outputs 1 and

2  (by  default,  the  UPS  has  the  jumper  installed)  and  then  connect  outputs  2  and  3

with  a  standard,  zero  voltage  closed  connector.  The  UPS  switches  off  when  the

connector  is  opened.  Closing  the  connector  restarts  the  UPS  and  powers  on  the

connected receivers.
