INSTALLATION 

 

CAUTION! 

Before installation of the UPS unit, the user must get familiar 

with the safety instructions in the present chapter and with general health 

and safety (H&S) recommendations. 

 

 

CAUTION!

  Do  not  install  or  operate  the  UPS  if  water  condensation  is 

present;  this  may  happen  if  the  UPS  is  moved  directly  from  cold 

environment  into  warm  environment.  The  UPS  unit  must  be  completely 

dry before installation and operation. The acclimatization time should be 

at least 2 hours. Otherwise there is risk of electrocution! 

 

 

CAUTION!

  Install  the  unit  in  a  well  ventilated  place.  Do  not  block 

opening in the UPS housing, maintain proper space all around the unit to 

ensure correct air circulation. 

 

 

CAUTION!

  Install  the  unit  and  its  cable  following  relevant  local 

regulations. 

 

 

CAUTION!

 The UPS must be grounded. Before connected power supply 

cables  to  the  building's  electric  system  terminal,  make  sure  the 

grounding connection is not faulty. If there are external battery packs for 

the  UPS,  the  compensating  grounding  connection  with  the  main  UPS 

unit is done with the power supply cables of the modules. 

 

 

CAUTION!

  The  electric  system  design  must  allow  disconnecting  the 

point of connection between the UPS to the mains, e.g. by switching the 

electric system's overcurrent breakers.

 

 

 

CAUTION!

 When connecting several battery modules in parallel, always 

observe the rule "same voltage, same type".
