BATTERY MODULE (option)
Connecting battery modules
In order to extend the UPS unit's autonomous operating time, additional battery
modules can be connected to POWERLINE DARK units. The modules are connected
to the terminals in the UPS unit’s rear panel.

CAUTION!
Danger of electric shock. When performing installation
works, make sure that all protections are disconnected.
To connect the battery module to the UPS follow these steps:
1. Switch the UPS off in the user interface.
2.
Switch the UPS unit’s input protection (of the basic line and the bypass line) to
OFF.
3.
Disconnect the protections of the basic line and the bypass line in the room’s /
building's switching board.
4. Switch the DC protection (in the rear panel) to OFF.
5. Disconnect the battery protections for the connected battery modules by opening
the fuse housing and removing the fuse elements.
6. Remove the protective covers of the connection elements (the rear panel of the
UPS and the module).
7. Connect the module to the UPS, paying special attention to observe the correct
polarity of the leads.
8. After checking the correctness of the protection, secure the connecting elements
by reattaching the covers.
9. Place the fuse elements into the fuse fixtures and close them.
10.
Switch the protections in the room's / building’s switching board.
