SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

The device is intended exclusively for private and not for commercial use. Only use this
device as describe in this instruction manual.

Before to use, make sure that the supply voltage corresponds with the voltage marked
on the rating label.

Do not place any part of this appliance in water or any other liquid.

Do not handle the unit or plug with wet hands.

When disconnecting the cable, always pull at the plug; do not pull on the cable itself.

When using the device, always pull the power cord completely from its housing to
prevent overheating.

If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or
a similarly qualified person in order to avoid an electric shock.

Never try to repair it by yourself. It must be repaired by the manufacturer or its service
agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid an electric shock.

The power cable must be checked regularly to avoid damage. If the power cable is
damaged it must be replaced by a qualified service center to avoid any danger.

Always place your device on a dry surface.

Do not use outdoors.

Do not let the power cord on the edge of a table or work surface, and prevent it comes
into contact with hot surfaces.

Keep it away from heat sources such as radiators, to avoid deformation of plastic parts.

Do not use coarse or abrasive sponges/cloths or steel wool to clean the appliance.

This unit is not designed to be operated by means of an external timer or a separate
remote control system.

HOW TO USE IT
1)
POWER SOURCE
Please check carefully that the voltage indicated on your set corresponds to the voltage of
your local area.
Plug the AC cord into the standard household electrical socket.
2)
BATTERY BACKUP
This unit has a backup battery facility, which provides power in the event of a power cut.
Remove battery door.
Insert 2 new AAA size batteries ( not included ) with the correct polarity
Refit the battery door.
If there is a power failure, the time setting, alarm setting and all the memory setting
will maintain due to the DC power supply by the battery. The LED display will not be
illuminated to save power. After AC power resumes, the unit can function properly
immediately according to the setting before the power failure.
Note: When you are not going to use the unit for a long period of time, disconnect the AC
cord from AC outlet and remove the battery.
3)
OPERATING THE RADIO
Press the ON/OFF button (3) once to
turn on the radio. The
radio is receiving in FM band with
the FM indicator (13) turned on and
the LED is showing the frequency.
After 5 seconds, the LED will change
back to show the time.
Press the BAND button (3) once
repeatedly to choose the radio
band. Consequently, the MW
indicator (10) or the FM indicator
(13)will be turned on to show the
chosen radio band.
Adjust the volume by pressing VOL+ button (2) to increase or pressing
VOL- button (1) to decrease.
Note: Volume range: 00 (mute) to 16 (maximum)
Press TUN- button (8) or TUN+ button (7) to tune into the desired station by either of the 2
following methods :
Manual Tuning : Press either of the 2 tuning button, TU- button (8) or TU+ (7), repeatedly
until the desired station is reach.
For MW tuning, the radio can tune starting from 522 KHz to 1620 KHz, each
pressing of TU- button (8) can tune down by 9 KHz and each pressing of
TU+ button (7) can tune up by 9KHz.
For FM tuning, the radio can tune starting from 87.5 MHz to 108 MHz, each
