RS-232 Cable (w/o Bracket)
The RS-232 cable consists of one serial port connector attached to a serial
communications cable that is then attached to a D-sub 9 male connector. To install the
RS-232 cable, please follow the steps below.

Locate the connector

Insert the cable connector
. Insert the connector into the serial port box header. See
. The red wire in the RS232 cable indicates pin 1. Align pin 1 of the on-
board connector with pin 1 of the RS232 cable connector.

Secure the bracket
. The RS-232 connector has two retention screws that must be
secured to a chassis or bracket.

Connect the serial device
. Once the RS-232 connector is connected to a chassis or
bracket, a serial communications device can be connected to the system.
