10 FAULTS AND REPAIRS
Repairs may only be carried out by the dealer or authorised persons.
Problem Possible cause Solution
Air cleaner does not function. Safety switch does not function. Close the air intake grille properly or consult your dealer.
Mains voltage not connected. Connect the mains voltage.
Cable or plug defective. Have the cable or plug replaced by your dealer.
Hardware/software defective. Consult your dealer.
Remote control functions poorly or not
at all.
Battery (almost) empty.
Check the red LED above the • button on the remote
control by pressing any of the buttons. Replace the battery
of the LED does not light up.
Fan does not run. Fan defective. Consult your dealer.
Hardware/software defective. Consult your dealer.
Fan runs, but air cleaner does not clean
or cleans poorly. One or more filters soiled. Clean or replace the filters (see section 8).
Air outlet grilles are closed. Open one or more air outlet grilles (see section 4.5).
Short-circuit in the EM Blue Line filter due to soiling
(STANDBY LED flashes).
Clean the EM Blue Line filter (see 8.2.2)
EM Blue Line filter (ElectroMax) crackles.
EM Blue Line filter (ElectroMax) soiled or damp.
Clean the EM Blue Line filter or allow to dry thoroughly
(see 8.2.2).
Pre-filter missing. Install a pre-filter.
The air cleaner cannot be operated at the
device.
Operation has been blocked by your dealer. Consult your dealer.
Indicator LED flashes red Short-circuit in the EM Blue Line filter due to soiling. Clean the EM Blue Line filter (see 8.2.2).
Short-circuit in the EM Blue Line filter due to broken
ionisation wire and/or bent collector plate.
Consult your dealer.
Indicator LED flashes blue. Device is in PROGRAM mode. Switch the device OFF and then ON again.
Indicator LED flashes red + symbol This is the X-Changer indicating that the filters are
soiled.
Clean the ElectroMax filter (see section 8.2.2).
The air cleaner does not go to a higher
speed when the gas sensor is used.
The fan speed has been limited in the software by
your dealer.
Consult your dealer.
Gas sensor starts in seemingly clean
rooms.
Sensor reacts i.a. to very high or very low humidity or
to gasses from cleaning agents, etc.
The sensitivity will be gradually adjusted automatically.
Sensitivity of the AirMonitor is not as desired. Consult your dealer.
Air cleaner no longer absorbs harmful
gases or unpleasant odours.
Activated carbon filter saturated. Replace the activated carbon filter (see section 8.2.3).
Air cleaner no longer diffuses a pleasant
odour.
FreeBreeze is not correctly set.
Turn the FreeBreeze cartridges to the left until the desired
intensity is obtained (see section 7.4).
FreeBreeze cartridges have lost their odour. Replace the FreeBreeze cartridges (see section 8.3).
