The Thunderbolt Port doesn’t appear to
work.
The Thunderbolt Port must be enabled in the BIOS . You will need to enable
Thunderbolt support in the BIOS “Intel(R) Thunderbolt Technology
(Advanced Menu > Intel(R) Thunderbolt)” on page 5 - 10 .
An external display will not connect to the
Thunderbolt Port.
The security level of the Thunderbolt Port must be set to support Display only in
order to support external display connections
. If you want to use the Thunderbolt
port to support display devices then you will need to set the security level to
support display devices only (see
“Security Level (Advanced Menu > Intel(R)
Thunderbolt)” on page 5 - 11 ). When the Thunderbolt port is set to be used for
display only, then DisplayPort 2 ( in Figure 1 - 12 on page 1 - 20 ) will be
turned off.
One of the DisplayPorts doesn’t work. You have enabled the Thunderbolt port as Display only and this turns one of the
DisplayPorts off
. See “Security Level (Advanced Menu > Intel(R)
Thunderbolt)” on page 5 - 11 and change the security level of the port.
You forget the boot password . If you forget the password, you may have to discharge the battery of the CMOS.

Password Warning
If you choose to set a boot password, NEVER forget your password. The consequences of this could be serious. If you cannot
remember your boot password you must contact your vendor and you may lose all of the information on your hard disk.
