A music compact
disc can be read
while a data disc can
not. There may be a problem with
the disc hardware or
software. Refer to your operating system manual for more
information on the software and make sure you have
the correct software installed for running video
compact discs/DVDs. If the proper software is properly
installed and a problem still exists, contact your
service representative about a possible hardware
problem.
All compact discs
cannot be read. The Windows system does
not recognize the CD-ROM
drive, or the CD-ROM drive is
not compatible with other
devices.
Make sure you have the CD-ROM drive properly
installed and configured.
The CD-ROM drive is dirty. Clean it with a CD-ROM cleaner kit.
There may be a problem with
the disc hardware or
software. Refer to your operating system manual for more
information on the software, and make sure you have
the proper software installed for using compact discs.
If the correct software is properly installed, contact
your service center about a hardware problem.
