a) DCF Signal Reception
• The weather station automatically receives the DCF time signal at 2:00, 3:00, 4:00 and
17:00 each day. The DCF signal is broadcast from a DCF transmitter in Germany.
•
It takes five minutes before the weather station starts to receive DCF signal. See the section
“Installation” > “Pairing”.
To manually initiate reception of the DCF signal, press and hold the
button
(9)
on the back of the weather station for three seconds.
• When the weather station is receiving the DCF signal, the DCF reception indicator
flashes. If succeeded, the reception indicator stays in a bright and solid state. If failed, the
reception indicator stays in grey. The DCF reception indicator is on the bottom right of the
display.
DCF reception indicator
• To manually turn off DCF signal reception, press and hold the
button
(6)
on the back of the weather station for eight seconds. The DCF reception indicator will
disappear.
During DCF signal searching and reception, do not move the weather station or press
any button on the weather station.
In areas with poor reception, it may take several days to receive a signal.
Poor DCF signal reception should be expected when the sensor is near to metal-
coated insulated glass windows, reinforced concrete, coated wallpapers or electronic
devices, or when the sensor is placed in a cellar.
