b) Prepare Weather Station
The weather station can receive temperature and humidity data transmitted from the outdoor
sensor. The weather station has the RCC (clock controlled radio) function to receive DCF time
signals to automatically synchronize time and date.
1
Insert batteries into the weather station
The weather station is powered by two AA type batteries (not included).
• Open the battery compartment
(3)
and insert two type AA batteries matching polarities as
shown inside the battery compartment.
After the batteries are inserted, the LCD display turns on and various information is
displayed.
If no information appears on the LCD display, use a pin to press the
button
(11)
on the back of the weather station.
• Close the battery compartment.
2
Location
•
Place the weather station on a dry, flat and solid surface.
• To ensure optimal DCF reception, place the weather station close to a window. Do not place
the weather station next to other electronic devices, cables or metal objects. Placement in a
cellar will result in poor DCF signal reception.
c) Pairing
For the weather station to receive temperature and humidity data from the outdoor sensor, the
weather station should be paired with the outdoor sensor.
Pairing is required when you use the weather station for the first time, you reset the device, or
reload batteries.
• Make sure both weather station and outdoor sensor are powered by inserting the batteries.
• In normal time mode, press the
button
(5)
to select a channel number to match the
channel number displayed on the outdoor sensor. The pairing will initiate automatically and
the channel number flashes (see the figure below).
Press and hold the
button
(4)
for three seconds to initiate pairing when:
- you have reset the outdoor sensor after changing the channel,
- you have changed the batteries of the outdoor sensor
- the weather station does not initiate pairing automatically.
