• When the two are paired, the outdoor temperature and humidity will be displayed in the
upper left of the display.
A flashing channel number indicates that the weather station is searching for the DCF time
signal.

• It may take up to 5 minutes for the weather station to receive the DCF signal. The DCF
reception indicator
flashes to indicate that the weather station is receiving the DCF
signal.
When the DCF signal is received, the time and date on the weather station will be
synchronized.
The outdoor sensor transmits data to the weather station once per minute. When
transmitting data, the LED indicator
(A)
on the sensor flashes two times, and the
transmission indicator (
) on the sensor flashes briefly then goes off.
d) Outdoor Sensor Location
When drilling or tightening screws, make sure there are no cables, wires or pipes
located underneath the surface. Inadvertently drilling through electric cables can
cause life-threatening danger of an electric shock!
• Place the outdoor sensor within 30 meters from the weather station.
• Using the mounting hole
(D)
on the back of the outdoor sensor, hang the outdoor sensor on
a wall using a suitable screw or nail.
• To prevent false temperature measurements, do not place the outdoor sensor in direct
sunlight or near a source of heat.
e) Transmission Signal Strength
The transmission range of the radio signals between the outdoor sensor and weather station is
up to 30 meters in ideal conditions.
When placing the outdoor sensor and weather station, observe the following factors which can
affect the transmission range and reception strength.
• Walls, reinforced concrete ceilings and metal-framed drywalls
