USING THE MANUAL
1.1
INTRODUCTION
With your purchase of an ETEK MIXER you have entered into the world of ETEK professional sound
equipment. This mixer is built to top quality standards and will ensure trouble-free performance for your
recording sessions or live concerts. This manual will cover all the sections of the mixer and all the
controls in each of these sections, explaining their use and setup.

You are advised to try out the various controls of your new mixer in the calm of your studio so as to
become familiar with all the functions before having to cope with these in a live situation.
1.2
TECHNICAL TERMS
The terminology used in this manual should not present difficulty in understanding the various functions
as no unusual terms are used but in the unlikely case of a term not being understood, and it is not fully
explained in the text itself, please consult the GLOSSARY OF TERMS at the end of this manual.
1.3
CONTROL REFERENCES
In this Owner's Manual, each control and push-button of the mixer is numbered according to a precise
scheme according to whether this is a slider, switch, or led. In this way any reference to a control, switch
etc., can be checked out on the Control Panel Reference chart to identify its position. The indications
used for the various controls are as follows:
PB = Push Button Switch, L = Led, S = Slider.
Each prefix is followed by the control reference number.
