Check door seals

Check the

seals on the 3 boiler doors

 (fuel

chamber door, ignition door, combustion chamber
door). The door handles must close firmly (with
force), and the sealing edges of the door frames
must leave a clear impression on the sealing cord.

In particular, check the seal between the carbo-

nisation gas extraction duct and the fuel chamber
door.

Leaks can be identified by variations in the

colouring on the seal or by using a cigarette lighter
while the draught fan is running. The flame will
be drawn toward the leak. If leaks are found, it is
usually sufficient to

adjust the hinges and the

closing roller mount

. It is not always necessary to

replace the sealing cords.
To adjust, open the door and lift it from its hinges.
Loosen the two hexagonal nuts next to the closing
roller mount and move the mount by 0.5 - 1 mm
towards the rear of the boiler.

0.5 - 1 mm

The boiler door hinges are adjusted in the same
manner. Loosen the two hexagonal nuts next to
the hinges and move the mount by 0.5 - 1 mm
towards the rear of the boiler.

0.5 - 1 mm

Then tighten the hexagonal nuts, reattach the
boiler door and check that it closes tightly.
