Empty ash bin
The ash bin can be emptied during operation
The ash bin (or ash container, respectively) of the pre-
cipitator may be removed and emptied during
operation. When the ash bin is removed, the inlet and
outlet flaps in the bypass are closed and the flue gas is
directed to the chimney via the bypass. The flaps open
again when the ash bin is reconnected.
Therefore, the boiler does not need to be
switched off to empty the ash bin. However,
prolonged operation of the precipitator without the ash
bin is not permitted, since the precipitator is operated
at overpressure.
The ash in the precipitator seals the duct with the ash
screw. However, if there is not enough ash in the pre-
cipitator and the flaps in the bypass do not close
properly, flue gas could escape from the boiler into the
room where the precipitator is installed.
DANGER!
Flue gas outlet without ash bin
During prolonged operation without an ash bin or ash
container, the flue gas from the boiler can reach
the room where the precipitator is installed.
Operation is only permitted with an ash bin or ash
container. Briefly remove the ash bin for emptying.
Technical illustration
The following steps depict the ash bin with a capacity
of 320 litres. The steps are essentially the same for all
other available ash bins (e.g.: 240 -litre).
Empty the ash bin
Open the screw cap on the connection unit and hang it
in the parking position.

If necessary, the opening can be temporarily closed by
a lid.

To empty, the ash bin can be lifted from its upper side,
for example, using a forklift.
