CAMERA CONNECTION
Select the rear camera preset under 6158C_
VIN3_REAR and the front camera preset
under 6158C_VIN4_FRONT.
ESX high definition (HD) cameras such as
VNA-RCAM-DBJ228HD or VNA-RCAM-
CS240HD require the preset AHD720P-
25Hz .
Cameras from other manufacturers may
require a different matching preset. Please
note the manufacturer’s technical data. If
you operate a camera with NTSC system,
select e.g. CVBS-NTSC .
After you have selected the preset for the
rear or front camera, confirm the new preset
with Save in the upper right corner.
The ESX naviceiver then restarts. Then
carry out a functional test of the camera(s).
ATTENTION:
Do not make any other
settings in the “Factory Setting” menu.
This could cause the ESX Naviceiver to
malfunction.
Notes on the power supply of the connected camera(s):
• If the rear camera (R-CAM 10-pin plug) is connected to the ESX Naviceiver via the CAM-
12V power supply, it is only activated via the reverse gear.
• However, if the reversing camera should also be activated while driving forward, e.g. for
the rear view mirror function of the additional camera, the AMP CONT cable of the 20-pin
connector (AV cable set 1) should be used to supply the camera with power. This means
you can use the camera app without reversing the cameras.
• The same applies to the power supply for the front camera (F-CAM 20-pin connector) so
that it can be activated independently of reverse gear.
