Mounting as bush shears
To mount the bush blade (6), remove the cover (9) located on the bottom. Press the lock button (10)
and push the cover (9) back. (B1)
Mount the bush blade (6) so that the two guide anchors (11) of the transmission meet the guide holes
(12) of the blade. (B7) You may need to shift the fine blade (13) in the middle and turn the gear wheel
(16) to bring the middle (15) in the correct position
.
CAUTION
: Always handle boards with gloves!
Once the bush blade (6) is mounted right between the guide pins (14) (B8), put the cover (9) in the rails
underneath the unit, then push it forward until the button lock (10) engages in the base plate. (B9)
CAUTION:
Telescopic handle must not be mounted when the machine is used as a shear box.
Telescopic handle
The telescopic handle must be mounted before each use. Proceed as shown in Figure B17.
First remove the transport cover (22) of the large aluminium tube and then place the smaller tube into
the large one. Secure the two tubes to each other with the sleeves (24) and (23).
Charging the Battery
Charge the battery before starting to work.
The battery can be charged with the charger provided (7).
Connect the charger cable (8) into a socket.
Red light is on. Fit the device to the charger by sliding it until it clicks into position. (B10)
The yellow light indicates the unit is switched on and charging has begun.
After 3 or 5 hours depending on the state of the battery, the green LED lights to indicate the end of
charging. The tool is now ready for use.
OPERATION
Use of Grass Shears
a) Use without the telescopic shaft
•
Check that the Power on/off (3) and safety switch (4) are in the off position, then turn the handle (2)
to the angle you want.

To turn the tool on push the safety switch (3) on the right or the left side of the handle and then press
the Power on/off button (2). (B11)

To turn off, release the Power on/off button (2).
•
During the work, make sure that the blade never comes in contact with stones, wood, iron or other
objects.
•
Working on a dry lawn gives best results.
•
If you feel that the tool begins to cut less, recharge the battery.
•
After each use, clean the blade (5) and grease it lightly.
b) Use with telescopic handle
For convenience, the guide head can be rotated and locked on three different notches. The telescopic
handle (18) comprises a connecting cable (17) which is used to control the shears from the handle. Plug
the cable into the socket behind the handle of the shears. (B6)
Go the shears on the grass in regular motion, moving always from the sidewalk to the grass.
